Entendo: conversational BI for companies and partners

Entendo is the conversational BI platform from Sozo Data. Users ask questions in Portuguese or English and get a number, table, or chart, with the generated SQL and reasoning visible for review. It connects to a company's database, including the one behind its ERP, and also runs white-label for partners.

What Entendo does

Entendo answers business questions straight from the company's database. You type something like "which customers cut their orders this quarter?" and get the result as a number, table, or chart. Alongside the answer, the platform shows the SQL it generated and the reasoning it followed, so someone can check where each number came from.

Sozo Data is a Brazilian company founded in 2024 by CEO Luciano de Oliveira. Entendo serves two kinds of buyers.

  • Mid-sized companies whose data sits in a database, usually the one behind their ERP, and who want answers without waiting on an analyst for every question. Our team assists with implementation.
  • Software vendors and consultancies that want to offer conversational BI to their own customers under their own brand.

For the concept behind the product, read our guide to what conversational BI is.

How Entendo connects to your data

Entendo connects to PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Firebird, and ClickHouse. It also reads Google Sheets, CSV, and Excel files.

On ERPs: Entendo connects to the database that sits behind the system, for example an Oracle, SQL Server, or Firebird database. Today the database is the way in. We have no official integration with any ERP vendor. If your database or tool is not on the list, we build the connector on demand: for other databases and data lakes that offer access, and also for systems that expose their data through an API or an equivalent format. That is development scoped case by case in the project.

When the database lives on the company's internal network, the Entendo Gateway comes in. It is an on-prem agent installed inside your network, and it works like this:

  • it opens an encrypted outbound connection to Entendo;
  • it needs no inbound port and no IP allowlisting on your firewall;
  • it keeps the database credential on your network;
  • it sends only the query result up to the cloud.

So query results do leave your network, and the database credential does not. If your security policy requires knowing exactly what travels, that is the conversation our team has with you during implementation.

Trust: what you can verify

An AI answer is only worth something if you can check it. Entendo is built to keep the path visible.

  • SQL and reasoning in view. Every answer includes the generated query and the reasoning. Technical users can check it, and everyone else knows the check exists.
  • Read-only. The platform blocks any write statement before it runs. We still recommend giving Entendo a read-only database credential, so the protection exists at both ends.
  • Audit. Every question and every SQL statement is logged.
  • Tenant isolation. Each customer's data is separated inside the platform's database using PostgreSQL row-level security.
  • SSO via OIDC. Available on the Business and Enterprise plans and configured per customer.
  • Choice of AI model. The platform works with models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini. On the Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, customers can bring their own API key (BYOK).

Beyond the question

Answering a question is the starting point. What makes daily use practical is everything around it.

  • Semantic layer. A glossary of your business terms, targets, and KPIs. The AI uses it to understand what you mean by "margin," "active customer," or "monthly target."
  • Dashboards. With filters and drill-down, built from questions that already worked.
  • Shared links. Share a dashboard by link and it refreshes on its own.
  • Export. CSV, XLSX, PNG, and PDF.
  • Forecasting. Time-series projections, useful for reading sales, cash, or demand trends.
  • Reports. From a single question, Entendo builds a multi-section report.
  • Languages. The interface comes in Portuguese and English.

For partners: white-label

Software vendors, consultancies, and integrators can offer Entendo to their own customers under the partner's brand. White-label is in production. Logo, colors, domain, emails, and exports carry the partner's identity, and Entendo stays behind the scenes.

The model is resale, with terms on request. How it works, what the partner configures, and what we handle are covered in white-label conversational BI.

How to buy

Plans are monthly and priced on request. We do not publish prices on this page. Assisted implementation by our team is billed separately and covers the database connection, glossary setup, and validation of the first answers.

The quickest route is to talk to the team through the contact form. To see the product, visit the Entendo product page.

If you are a prospective partner, tell us in your first message what software or service your company sells and how many of your customers could use conversational BI. It speeds up the conversation about the resale model.

Frequently asked questions

Do you integrate with TOTVS, WinThor, or Protheus?

Entendo connects to the database behind the ERP, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Firebird. We have no official integration with TOTVS or any other ERP vendor. Today we connect to the database: if your system's data lives in one of the supported databases, we can query it, and our team helps map the tables during implementation. If there is no database access, we build the integration through whatever API or equivalent format the system offers, as on-demand development scoped in the project.

Do I need to open a firewall port?

No. The Entendo Gateway, installed on your network, opens an encrypted outbound connection to Entendo. No inbound port or IP allowlisting is needed. The database credential stays on your network, and only the query result goes up to the cloud.

Does Entendo change my data?

No. Execution is read-only, and the platform blocks any write statement before it runs. We also recommend creating a read-only database credential for Entendo, so the restriction holds on your database side as well.

How much does Entendo cost?

Plans are monthly and priced on request, and assisted implementation is billed separately. We do not publish prices because the cost depends on company size, number of users, and the type of implementation. Contact the team through the form to get a proposal.

Is there an entry plan for testing?

We do not publish an entry plan. Evaluation is done with our team, who connect to a database of yours and show the product answering real questions from your company. Use the contact form to set it up.

Can I use my own AI key?

Yes, on the Pro, Business and Enterprise plans. Customers can use their own API key (BYOK) with the supported providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini. That keeps AI consumption on your account and under the terms of your own provider contract.

Does Entendo support SSO?

Yes, via OIDC, on the Business and Enterprise plans. It is configured per customer with the company's identity provider. If your provider supports OIDC, the integration is possible, and our team supports the setup during implementation.

Does Entendo work in English?

Yes. The interface is available in Portuguese and English, and questions can be asked in either language. The semantic layer helps the AI understand your business terms, whichever language you ask in.
